Surf lessons
Playa Maderas is one of the best surf spots in southern Nicaragua.
The predominant offshore wind allows good conditions of surfing all year round (from 2 to 6 feet). Playa Maderas is a beach break that suits for beginners to advanced surfers. As the inside section has a re-form that is great for learning and the outside section is fun, workable, and on many swells hollow tubes for intermediate and advanced surfers.
As all the surf spots along our southern coast Playa Maderas likes a medium to high tide.
The temperature of the water varies from 24° to 30°. You can surf almost all year round with rashguard and board shorts. In february and march, you may need a wetsuit.
There is two places where you can rent surfboards in Playa Maderas and we have also surfboards for rent in Casa Dunia.

She’s is an experimented surfer who won several titles on the national circuit. Besides having a very good technical level, she has a long experience of the pedagogy. She worked 6 years as a surf
instructor for Costa Rica's outward bound school.
